Legacy Rental is focused on pre-middle market Japanese companies. We are particularly interested in businesses operating in the rental construction equipment and manufacturing industries.

Our History of Japanese Partnerships

In 1981, a groundbreaking M&A deal took place between American and Japanese companies. Mr. McElvenny, President and CEO of USR Industries, made the decision to sell one of the company’s six divisions to Mitsubishi Chemical. This acquisition is notable for being Mitsubishi Chemical’s first purchase of an American company. In the decades that followed Mr. McElvenny purchased or partnered with dozens of small entrepreneurial companies.
